Crossed Genres

My story, “How the Goddess Came to Spring Flowering Alley” is live at Crossed Genres as part of their Luck-themed May issue. I’m delighted to share the table of contents with friends Sandra Wickham and Amy Sundberg.  Very talented folks.

“How the Goddess Came to Spring Flowering Alley” is one of my favorite stories (it is, after all, about a monkey!). It’s set in my Asian-myth inspired secondary world of Shanguo, and the first of those tales to be published. I’m well pleased.

Thanks to Crossed Genres for giving the story a home, and to those who workshopped and beta read through all the drafts: especially Morgan, Katie, John, Lauren, and Emily. A very special thanks is due to my awesome wife Carol who never gave up on Chunyo. Or me.
